Learn to Read

Reading Difficulties

You think your child is ready to start learning to read. It is an exciting time!

What is the best way for a child to learn to read?

You have probably heard that it is important to read to your child and to help him develop an early love and interest in books and stories. No doubt, that an interest in reading is important, but no matter how much you read to your child, they will not simply absorb the skill – reading must be taught. So how can you start teaching your child to read?

Introduce phonics activities to your children early on.
With phonics, kids are taught to read in a systematic, methodical way. Preschool children will learn to read through pronouncing sounds and syllables, in addition to recognizing letter-sound relationships.
